After the leadership of the Communist (Bolshevik) Party of Ukraine

and the Soviet Government had settled in Kharkiv, the Ukrainian

Socialist Soviet Republic (the Ukrainian SSR) was officially proclaimed

in January 1919. From the start of the formation of power structures
