In many ways the duty of co-operation, imposed on courts and representatives alike,

combined with the fact that access to foreign courts is ensured for both representatives

and creditors, forms the central and overarching feature of the Model Law. Indeed,

the provisions relating to recognition of foreign proceedings and the effects thereof

may be regarded as specific elaborations of this central feature.
